Helios Planetarium / Orrery with Northern Sky Dome
This stunning fully electric model shows the planets orbiting the Sun at their correct relative speeds with a removable Star dome.
The planets from Mercury to Saturn orbit the Sun at their correct relative speeds and the Moon orbits the Earth in synchrony.
Subjects to study:
- The Planets in their Orbits (length of a year, inferior and superior planets and more)
- The Moon and its Phases
- Eclipse Basics
- The Time - solar, sidereal and G.M.T.
The orrery can have all its planets displayed or just one or two. The planets can be positioned for any year or month up to 2020. The speed and direction of rotation can be changed!
Motorized Solar System Simulator
See the solar system in action! You will be able to show the relative orbit speeds of each planet and the relative position between individual planets and the sun.
Internally gear-driven motor revolves planets around the sun in their relative orbits. Users can manually adjust planets according to the planet position table with the 360° scale on the base. Exceptionally quiet running and includes a lesson plan on orbit and speed.
Complete with Teacher's Guide.
The Baader Planetarium/Orrery
This planetarium presents an absolutely unique method of demonstrating celestial relationships. The Baader Planetarium consists of three units: the star globe being black and transparent simultaneously, the solar system including its electric drive system, located inside the globe and – finally – the planetarium’s base containing the control equipment and transformer. The celestial globe of the BAADER PLANETARIUM is made of plexiglass which has been subjected to a black color treatment to obtain approximately 5% transparency. This material provides an amazing optical effect: Under direct light the sphere will appear almost opaque due to the light absorbing and reflecting properties of the plexiglass.
Giant Solar System Mobile
The Giant Solar System Mobile is a mobile for grownups. The planets are suspended from 3-independently moving rods around the 19 cm diameter Sun. This mobile will fascinate the young in age and youthful in heart. The whole mobile measures 137 cm (54") across. Jupiter is 14.5 cm and Earth is 9 cm in diameter.

Copernican Orrery Kit
This kit assembles to make a working model of the Solar System including Mercury, Venus and the Earth and Moon. It shows the relative movements of the planets around the Sun, and the Moon around the Earth. The Sun contains a light source which can be used to demonstrate how night and day, the phases of the Moon and the seasons are produced. This is an excellent model that can be used for personal amusement or as an aid to teaching.
Small Ferguson's Orrery
Hand-crafted Orreries by Roy Mallett
Our small Orrery is a beautifully hand made working representation of the Solar System out to Saturn. It can be run on the electric motor which will reproduce a one year cycle every 5 minutes, or hand cranked. Set in a stained American White Oak case the mechanism is produced in brass and hand assembled in a workshop in Berkshire. All the components are produced in the UK.
A selection of beautiful fully working instruments made in the U.K. to the highest specifications by Roy Mallett.
Large Ferguson's Orrery
This large Orrery is a beautifully hand made working representation of the Solar System out to Saturn. It can be run on the electric motor which will reproduce a one year cycle every 5 minutes, or hand cranked. Set in a stained American White Oak case the mechanism is produced in brass and hand assembled in a workshop in Berkshire. All the components are produced in the UK. The case features the signs of the zodiac printed onto brass plates.
